Delicioso! Americans and Italians eat completely differently. 1) Dinner doesn't start until at least 8:00 2) The "real" menu is on the blackboard – the freshest produce. 3) Kids eat smaller portion adult food – not junk. 4) Superior ingredients means simple technique. And folks don't get worked up about expensive rare wines but get something local.
I told our waitress that some Americans no longer ate pasta. "What you mean, no eat pasta?" as if we were nuts. LOL. This leads to the last two differences – portion size and meal length. There are no giant bowls of pasta overflowing with mountains of sauce. And families do not arrive and start griping that they need to eat and leave. Talking on the phone was rare (and considered rude). Oh, and you don't have bread with your pasta – pasta IS the bread. LOL.

What are the pans that you use?
So, as an Italian who cooks a lot, I can say that this is made beautifully, but way too long with the pasta in the pan. Doesn't need that much flipping around. Throw it in there, mix it together, get the clams in, done. You can get away with this recipe actually using just butter, clams, garlic, and olive oil, with some parmesan to top it off (5 ingredients). Throw in fresh parsley and a dash of salt if you want to get fancy and push it up another notch, but don't go any further. I've made this in under thirteen minutes and it always comes out beautifully. Well done here all the same, looks great.

I was taught never to leave handles sticking out off the front of the hob. Poor safety technique. It’s just kitchen good manners to keep handles as far inside as practical, even more so seeing that the other hobs are unlit.
