You have to be very careful using those in the aluminum pan.

You sure have a beautiful butt that I would love to bite.

Looking great! Do you make sandwiches or just prefer as is? I like to make a homemade carolina sauce and make like 6 sandwiches at one lol
No-Tank-1826
Those claws looked like they were struggling! Get you some high temp gloves if you’re not acclimated, and jump in there! We would use these for our newbies in our restaurant: https://a.co/d/g2tEnyn

How long did you rest it? It looks like youre working way too hard to pull. Looks great overall but a 4 hour rest will make it fall right apart.

I find these plastic bear claws kind of interesting I keep seeing them but they look kind of awkward to use. Not any criticism, use what you like, they just look like they make it more difficult than they do help. Just at a glance without seeing them in use they look awesome, just never seems to work out that way.
But whatever works for you dude.

WooHoo!! You have skills
Merlin1039
I have those and I just can’t. Just get your hands in there and work it

For those of us who have these claws.. We’ve all shadowboxed with them, testing effectiveness for home defense.. right..? Right?!?

What’s the point of the claw if a fork will do the job. Good lookim butt btw. Well done.

I have two sets of these claws I’ve received as gifts. I’ve never used them once. My pork just falls apart with my fingers.

Looks like probably had good flavor.. but dry dude. Over cooked. Love to see how much fat and ju is in that drip tray
brownboyAbe
Looks a bit tough if you’re using that much force to shred it, just my opinion. Still looks delicious though

Ngl I bought the meat claws, used them once and haven’t used them since. Hands best imo.

Not a true pork butt afficiado, but attracted by cost savings
Must be in an aluminum pan 1.5 hours smoke per pound at 225F
Can take a long time
But time per hours effort is good considering cost

I don’t know bro, looks kinda dry. As long as you guys enjoyed it, that’s what matters.

Put some cotton gloves on under the disposable gloves and go to town with your hands. Crazy how insulated it makes your hands from the heat
Puzzled-Main3223
No black gloves so that’s probably why she didn’t like it

Looks tough to be honest

Sorry, but this is completely random but I’ve been doing a lot of 3-D printing-so I’m thinking, “I wonder if there’s a file for those?”

A real man pulls out the bone and uses it like tomahawk/meat grinder. Maybe the third one
Any-Virus7755
Just take that blade bone out of the butt and start beating the shit out of your meat like a 13 year old boy on summer break with with the house to himself

I would break out in tears of joy if I ever had a butt come out this perfect.

Using a claw and is still struggling separating the butt… Maybe you’ll cook it right next time. lol. You should beable to grab it by hand and easily separate the different muscles from the fat.
AwwwSkiSkiSki
Meat claws AND gloves… You must really not wanna touch that pork.

True story – my wife gave me a set of claws like that but made of steel and pretty sharp on the ends. My son, handing them to me as we got ready to pull, fumbled the handoff and one dropped to the floor. Well, almost to the floor. One of the tines stuck me in my big toe and the damn claw just sat there quivering back and forth while my lifeblood began oozing out.
Good times. It did turn out really well once I got over being maliciously stabbed.
