Hi everyone, I was wondering what your opinions are regarding my habanero red caribbean plant, I can't figure out how many litres of water to put in, whether to put it in the sun or something else, it's in a 45L pot but the plant only takes up half the pot practically.
At the moment temperatures are very high here and even reach 40 degrees during the hottest hours.
I don't know if putting it in the sun at these temperatures risks burning it as can already be seen on some leaves.
I tried to cover it in the sun with a breathable sheet as in the photo but the leaves had completely withered, now I put it in a spot where it only gets the sun in the morning until about 10.
As for insects, I've seen that sometimes there are tiny white insects.

Give it a well lit area, where it kinda gets shade, and kinda gets sun through out the day. I’ve been sticking by the old, plant will tell you when it needs water when it begins to droop, which, tends to be every morning if there isn’t rain, I give it like, a half a cup of water. I live in a fairly humid climate as well, so, that helps.
