I was contacted by a guy in Boston a couple years ago to draw this. Anthony spent a couple months with me and it fell like I depicted the sadness the whole way till the end. It was a journey and he got to hang out with a bunch of pets and wildlife.
Ironically at the time I was questioning is it worth it and I was working as a server plus working day care too.
But I wasn’t just questioning if living was worth it, I was question if I was worth a life where I could just art and not work 70 something hours a week constantly in service to someone. I still struggle with worth, but I am happy I am not killing myself like I was, I get to question life with invisible conversations with people like Anthony Bourdain about beautiful beings that get peted, loved, and cared for all day.
