Had a really solid harvest today from my datil plants. These peppers are seriously my favorite. Fantastic flavor and a lovely heat. I add them to everything I can haha.

Just wanted to share xD

Very nice. A most delicious pepper indeed!

Finally, someone here who knows what the real Datil is. These are C. Chinense. The seeds sold by Baker Creek are fake Datil peppers and are C. Annuum. I actually prefer the fake datil (which I call Faketil) because I don’t like the flavor of C. Chinese peppers.

Hell yeah, happy to see datils becoming more popular on here. They are excellent peppers! They’ve been my favorite for many years here in NE FL.

When I lived in central Florida I always tried to grow them, but they never really did well or had a good fruit.

Now that I live near St. Aug, they are coming in wonderfully.

    They look nice!

When have you sprouted the seeds?

Never tried before – what makes them so delicious?

Look lovely! I’ve never seen plants/seeds for those for sale in my area. Are they a sort of regional specialty or something? How do they taste?
