2019 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard

Purchased for $41 from the producer on release

A touch of smokey reduction up front, flowing to scents of wet bark and dark red cherry, very inviting. Soft tannins accompanied by a good spine of acidity, nicely balanced and well built. Red fruit immediate on the palate, followed by chewy dark mineral notes persistent into a medium finish.

Outstanding value, and easily competes with many $100 bottles of Burgundy.

What are y'all drinking?

Nothing for me tonight but I love Patricia Green. Great bottle

The Four Grace’s Pinot Noir. Medium body, some strawberry and earthiness. Nice and smooth.

  3. Dornier Wines Moordenaarskloof Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc 2021. Lots of almond/walnut and unripe yellow peach. Happy with it for a $20 bottle from a local wine shop. I’d say 4 out of 5.

2024 Bodega Chacra Pinot Cincuenta y Cinco: light & bright, red cherries, cranberry, tangy finish with good structure.

I’m moving in the morning, so tonight is dry, but a 2019 The Hidden waits in my new apartment.

Such a damn good producer and one of the great QPR monsters in the valley also, imo. Cheers. Had some Etude pinot, grace Benoist ranch 2021.

A great bottle at $22 at my local wine shop. The owner recommended it to me a few weeks ago. Drank it and ended up going back for a case.

Smoked some ribs for 6 hours while I worked today and they paired very well and I’m into my third hour with it and it is making me want to finish the bottle.

Great way to kick off the weekend.

Well, they have it today they’d be asking $150.
