If your favourite kind of city break is one where you have to make room for at least five meals a day due to the sheer quality of restaurants, then you’re going to want to plan a trip to Liverpool. I’ll admit that it’s a city known more for its drinks than its food – and it remains a solid choice for a night out. But it’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting cities to eat in the UK, if not the world.

But barely a month goes by without a new restaurant launch and local chefs are constantly experimenting with cuisines and different ways of dining. With all that being said, my advice to you is to make room in your schedule and your belly next time you visit Liverpool to eat, and eat, and eat. Here are my top restaurants for 2025.
