I love this more than Mamie but not quite as much as Lorenzo. But it’s a very close race
I feel like All’Antico is more “homestyle” and rustic as opposed to Lorenzo trying to fancy up a focaccia sandwich. Neither of which is a bad thing.
I ordered the La Paradiso, $18. Full of mortadella, plenty of pistachio paste and pistachio, Rich and creamy stracciatella, and I added tomatoes (no extra charge) for an extra bite and to offset the richness of the sandwich. The mortadella is thinly sliced, soft and savory without being overly salty.
The bread is delicious. Thick crunchy and a bit more dense than Lorenzo.
And the sandwich is HUGE. Half easily filled me up and I saved the other half for later

As in the famous shop from Florence? Never realized we had one here…
i’ve heard the bread is nothing like the original. curious how different it is. i had it in venice. bread didn’t stand out, but sandwich was good and generously portioned. i definitely didn’t need to eat the whole thing in one sitting 😂
Looks good. Finally a gourmet sandwich for under $20 lol
Between the Cheese store and Lorenzo, I’d say downtown Beverly Hills has enough fancy sandwich places. Not sure this place can survive, as the other spots are much better and seem more like local mom n pop places as opposed to Vinaio which is a global franchise
This is the best spot with all the other “Italian sandwich” spots popping up. This feels like the new trend, but I don’t know how long the staying power of these various places are.
I also had the paradiso, I really enjoyed it. I don’t think I’ve ever had pistachio cream in a sandwich.
I am kinda upset that it’s only 8 euro in Florence though. $20 is an okay value but 8 euro is insane, it’s no wonder my friend ate there 3 times during his trip.
The best sandwich I’ve ever had!
Oh wow that looks damn good
That’s a LOT of mayo
I wish I knew what the ingredients were 😂it helps if you speak Italian .. I don’t want to spend $20 on a sandwich with 3 ingredients I’ve never heard of 🤣🤣
Was that not too much sauce?
Looks a lot like a muffaletta. Or is it pretty different?
Really dislike these sandwiches. The quality is fine, I just think they taste below “mid” and sit poorly in the belly.
Tried 3 times and consistently blah.
No hate for the lovers, but this sandwich is not gonna be everyone’s jam.
I ordered this exact sandwich at this exact spot today. I remember ordering one in Rome back in September thinking “This is amazing – I wish we had this in America.” Lo and behold, there’s now one two blocks up the street from my office.
Went yesterday. The sandwich and bread was tasty, but the bread was too hard and crunchy for my liking.

Lorenzo is leagues above this and Mamie
Every time I see a post here I now assume it’s an ad.
We were not thrilled the first two times we tried. Today was a better showing, the bread was finally on point (it was dry yet underbaked the prior two times).
It just will never beat Lorenzos and even when good today I was mad I skipped their meatball sandwich special today for All’Antico.
Expand too fast, quality falls
After having it in Florence, I could not possibly get myself to pay $20 for a sandwich lol
This looks super good. I’ll have to try next time I’m in the area. I love that you added tomatoes too, that seems like how I’d want it
