Pickling onions. That’s a 1/2 gallon jar filled with yellow onions (and a few green onions because I had them and why not?). Distilled white vinegar, a clove or 2 of garlic, some red pepper flakes, corse ground black pepper and whole peppercorns, salt, and a bit of sugar. Sitting on my counter right now. I’m going to leave it closed until Friday afternoon when I try it.
The onions are sliced with a mandolin, rings, and other pieces of different sizes and shapes. The green onion has both the white and green parts.
I’ll keep y’all posted when I try them.
