Do you ever use it to rattle the ash drawer so as to get the ash on and around the ceramics to fall into it?

I never know if I’m using the thing right. I remove my charcoal basket and use the thing to scrape off the ash on the ceramic and into the ash drawer. And then I take the ash drawer out and empty and then repeat the process until things are looking clean.

A tip a learned from a buddy if you don’t want to mark your joe, I have cut small notches into the end so I just slide the bottom vent to get 250, 350 etc 🙂 saves taking a glove off or if you have fatter fingers than normal ha!
