CJ Foodville’s The Place and Cheiljemyeon Office recently announced that they opened a new store at the same time in “Gu’s East Pole,” a large complex in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the 28th of last month. The district’s East Pole is a complex commercial district that combines residential, office and cultural facilities, and it is attracting attention as a strategic launching point for restaurant brands in that various consumers flow in.
The East Pole branch of The Place District applied a space design that emphasizes the cozy terrace sensibility by reflecting the concept of an Italian bistro aimed at relaxation in everyday life.
In particular, you can see the vivid cooking process of placing an open kitchen-type oven in the center of the store, which was well received at the recently opened Gangdong I’Park the River branch, and placing fresh ingredients on the handmade island and baking it directly from the oven. In addition to the oven pizza, you can enjoy The Place’s special dining with pasta, steak, and various wines made with authentic Italian recipes in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
The East Pole branch of Cheiljemyeonso-gu applied a modern interpretation of traditional elements such as the eaves and grid patterns of hanok in line with the brand concept that introduces delicacies noodles and modern Korean cuisine. Reflecting the characteristics of the residential and business complex, it has various types of seats from one to six people, and you can see strong meals such as shabu kalguksu and bibimbap made of chewy raw noodles. The entire menu can be taken out, adding to the convenience. Both brands also organized a variety of customer events to commemorate the opening. Until July 4, The Place will present “Special Wine Goods” to the first 50 people every day, including premium wine glasses “Ridelzan,” chilling bags, and free firewood pizza coupons. Among them, an event will be held with Luckidro, which will draw one person every day and provide a meal ticket worth 130,000 won. In addition, if you visit a store before 4 p.m. on weekdays and order the main menu by the end of July, you will receive one cup of Americano per menu. You can feel a deeper flavor with coffee made directly at the store using premium beans from Specialty Roastery Cafe “Taylor Coffee.”
Cheil Jemyeonso also runs the event until July 4. If you order more than two Shabu Kalguksu menus after 12 p.m. on weekdays, “Meat Wang Dumpling” will be presented to the first 20 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors after 4 p.m. on weekdays or on weekends will be provided with a bottle of liquor for 1,000 won when ordering “Spicy Octopus Stir-fried.”
An official from CJ Foodville said, “The Place and Cheiljemyeonso are expanding their customer contact points by expanding their stores in major commercial districts based on the competitiveness of each brand,” adding, “In the future, CJ Foodville will provide a high-quality gastronomic experience from fast and simple daily meals to special dining out.”
Meanwhile, CJ Foodville is speeding up its expansion of its restaurant brand based on its differentiated strategy and solid performance. Following the opening of the East Pole branches of The Place and Cheiljemyeon So-gu, VIPS also opened its Seomyeon branch in Busan and the I-Park The River branch in Gangdong in April, and in June, it opened three new stores within a month, including Lotte Department Store Gwangbok branch, Cheongju Connect Hyundai branch, and Lotte Department Store Ilsan branch.
