Five restaurants have been unveiled for a new riverfront dining destination in Port St. Lucie’s Port District, offering a range of options from American to Italian to Japanese eateries.

The Grove will feature five restaurants in the first phase of the project, which is expected to begin construction this September and be completed in early 2027, according to a news release from the city. Two more casual dining restaurants will be added in the second phase.

“The Grove is designed to be a fun, welcoming place where people can enjoy great food, connect with friends and family, and take in the beauty of the river,” Jennifer Davis, the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency director, said in a news release. “We’re excited to bring these innovative dining experiences to residents that will continue to make The Port District a vibrant waterfront destination.”

What restaurants are opening in The Port District?

Salt River: A coastal-inspired dining experience including rooftop dining overlooking the St. Lucie River.Italian Disco: A pizzeria, bar and restaurant infusing old-school flavor and modern energy.Kannon: Offering a bold menu that features sushi, bento boxes and fresh Japanese cuisine crafted with precision and artistry. The Grove Bar: Showcasing local craft beers and signature cocktails, surrounded by lush landscaping.Tequi Bar: A bold take on the traditional tiki bar, specializing in artisan, tropical drinks with a tequila twist.

These restaurants are being developed by SūDā, which partnered with national hospitality company Atlas Restaurant Group.

What is The Port District?

The Port District debuted in June 2024 with the Pioneer Park playground, green spaces and a bandshell.

Since then, the Port St. Lucie History Museum & Education Center and Port St. Lucie Historical Society headquarters have opened, leaving the River Food Garden — once referred to as the Dining Docks — as the last unfinished cornerstone of the city’s ambitious riverfront project.
