Honest opinion was that it was definitely in the top cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. Loved how they mix in the cheese with the meat for the perfect bite. I’ve never tasted bread like that either. That was heavenly. Very Minor criticism was I thought the meat could be just a tad more seasoned.

  1. Now you know why people are strict about real philly cheese steaks.

I’m only in Philly every couple years to hang with my cousins. Been going here for a while. I’m happy for them that they got their bag. But last time I went there was a wicked long line and I was all set with that. I hope to have another one again someday when the trend shifts. But this looks just like the ones I would get which is positive. If anyone here wants to get one for their first time, it’s worth the wait in line.

Stupid question, but can I get it with no onions?

Having your FIRST cheesesteak at Angelo’s is rough. Nothing will ever live up to your first time 😢

Looks like it belongs in me.
Bummer it wasn’t super well seasoned, though. It’s all about the little things. Kinda a slap in the face to the fresh bread and the stepped up cheese game.

One must honor all ingredients in order to truly send that shit in the game of sandwich.

  7. The onions are big! Usually they disappear in the mix.

The owner has a 2nd location in the Reading Terminal Market (also Philly) and in NYC (with Bradley Cooper).

Oh yeah, that definitely looks effin tasty. It looks like the bread is pretty crunchy too.

  10. Seeds on the bread make this gross to me. Why change greatness?

I like big chunks of onion! So many places use small dice that there’s no texture left by the time it’s cooked. I did work at a place that used quarter onion slivers, but they sliced them too thin for my liking.

I’m happy you got a good steak!

  13. I feel like a bit of color wouldn’t hurt, it has a pipe sludge look to it.

I bet it still tastes incredible though, dedinitely need to see one and try it in-person.

The roll is looking bunk. My honest opinion. Other than that, looks good.

I had that last week while visiting Philadelphia. Great sandwich and that bread is incredible.
