Was cleaning out the company storage closet and found this. Should I keep it?
It was next to a bunch of company branded golf balls and polos. Should I bring it home to the wife or save it for an office happy hour?

Definitely not a happy hour bottle, at a minimum.

Take it home! Most people will have no clue it is any good, and it is, so don’t waste it on people who will want to put ice cubes in it.

Save itttttttt and enjoy it for a special moment with you wife!

Yes, snag it.

I love that stuff, and buy a bottle every time a new vintage is available, you gotta sit on it for like a decade though, but you’ll be rewarded. I honestly can’t pick one vintage over another for quality, it always tastes as it should, to my amateur pallet

Certainly an esteemed wine. Sure hope that storage closet stayed cool. Great producer and extremely well-received bottling. If still in shape, you have a great bottle there.

Joseph Phelps’ Insignia is a very highly regarded Napa red Bordeaux blend. This is about a $400 bottle of wine, with lush, concentrated dark fruit flavors and ample aging in oak. Definitely a great special occasion bottle, and one that can age for decades.

Wife — that’s a good bottle

Absolutely take it home to the wife. That is an elegant and fantastic bottle of wine. 96 Robert Parker review. btw if you wanted to buy that at wine dot com, it will set you back approaching $400. Not that cost is everything in buying a bottle of wine, but this gives you an idea in an open market how much people want it. Will easily cellar for another 15 years.
Go home early, cook something interesting and open this for your wife on a Tuesday. Then also do the dishes. This is the way.

Some vintage Titleist as well

All these people encouraging this person to steal from their employer…
OP this is a recent vintage, so be careful. I’m sure someone knows it’s there. I would ask the boss before just assuming you can take this.

If someone had that stashed intentionally they’re gonna be hella pissed when they find it missing

Good wine next to prov1 balls? what a win
ultralayzer
Lol, nah, toss it in the trash….

There’s a reason all the wine geeks here are yelling for you to keep it and save it for a special occasion. It’s a great bottle, in a solid vintage, and pretty pricey.

Check out that battery too. Could be worth keeping

Also, without knowing the provenance from start to finish, drink it in the next year. Don’t wait for the ultimate moment to find out it was cooked.

Nope! Send it to me and I’ll dispose of it for free.

Would this vintage be during or after the fires?

It’s delicious! Take it home!

Ah, forgot I left it there. It’s mine. Really. DM me and I’ll pick it up.

The label on this one has always screamed cheap to me, for some reason, but this is some serious juice.

Insignia always a banger. Don’t open it yet – too soon. Give it until at least 2027 and even then a full decant. Enjoy
Vin-Rouge
I’ll take those ProV-1’s

I would probably ask first.

Lol, poor storage for a sort of decent over priced wine. Drink it at home from a plastic cup.
iwasinthepool
Definitely take that home. It’s a fantastic glass today, but I’d give it a few more years. I’ve got 3 bottles and I’m waiting another year or two to open one. JPV needs a little aging.
