In our recipe for today, we will see how to make Mujaddara in a Ninja pot and learn the best way to make this traditional dish in this modern pot and tell you all the secrets of the dish’s success. In addition, we will fry the onions in the Ninja pot to get golden, crunchy, healthy onions without oil. Peace be upon you and God’s mercy and blessings. How are you, my sisters? How are you? I hope everything is fine. We will start first with the main ingredient of Mujaddara, which is onions. We will start with the onions first because we will make them in the Ninja pot because they will take a little more time, so we will make them and put them aside. Then we will start with the Mujaddara. As for the onions, after we wash and peel them, as you can see, we will beat them lengthwise and then cut them into wedges so that the onions come out with tea. After we finish cutting the onions, we will put them in a bowl and spread them out as you can see. We will add on top A small spoon of salt, we make a mixture for them, we add two spoons of olive oil or white oil if you don’t have it, we mix them well so that the onions come out fried and not distorted, of course, my sisters, without adding oil to them, the onions will come out grilled. We make a machine mixture for them so that the oils and salts go with the onions, and this way we will have the onions ready. We bring the frying basket, we grease the bottom of it with oil, and a piece of advice, my sisters, I advise you every time you use the frying basket, grease the bottom with oil so that they do not stick. We turn these onions over and distribute them on the bottom of the pot. We try as much as possible to distribute them so that the layer is even. We remove them and put them in the bottom of this pot. We start to operate the program. We will use the first system, the air fryer system. From the first program, the Air Fry program, the automatic and air program. From the right, we choose the temperature and we will use 200 degrees, and from the left, we choose the time. And we will need ten minutes of time. We press the Star button to start the program. Of course, my sisters, you have two methods for frying onions in the Ninja pot. As for this method, it works. If you want a method that will make your onions amazing, put it on the same program, the Air Fry program, at a temperature of 150. It will take approximately 23 to 25 minutes. The onions will come out as if you fried them in oil exactly, but the time is longer. Of course, my sisters, we always stir them in the middle of the time, and in the last two or three minutes of the time, we also pay attention to them. We need to stir them every now and then. After the minutes are up at 200, you will find the onions have dried out. We lower the temperature to 150. We put them for approximately five minutes on the same program, the Air Fry program, and God willing, your onions will come out excellent. But my sisters, as I told you, I prefer the second method, but it takes more time. If you want a little more speed, this method will come out excellent. As you can see, the onions are fabulous. We remove them and put them aside and start making the mujaddara. As for the bulgur, my sisters, I use dura bulgur. It is almost one of the best types of bulgur. As you can see in the picture, we have two types of bulgur. Both are coarse, but the difference between them is that they come with this bulgur. I don’t know if the pronunciation in Turkish is correct, but this one comes with a coarse grain and the other one comes with a whole grain. It is suitable for dishes like bulgur on tomatoes, or bulgur like this, which we want to have a whole grain. We have the second type, blaflake, which is what we will use for mujaddara. This one has a smaller grain so that it blends a little with the lentils. Of course, my sisters, I like mujaddara. This way, the bulgur is a little flaky, so I use this type. However, if you like the bulgur to dissolve with the lentils, use the type that is finer. As for the bulgur, we will use two cups of bulgur today. We will use half the amount of bulgur for one cup of lentils. Try, my sisters, to buy good quality lentils because there are types of lentils that do not cook easily. We will wash the bulgur and the ‘asat with cold water, and then we will put them in the pot without soaking them at all. We will add two small spoons of salt, or as desired, in addition to a small spoon of cumin. Of course, cumin is essential in mujaddara, and this is how our spices are ready. We will start adding the water, my sisters. As for the bulgur, each cup needs a cup and a half of water under normal conditions. As for the ‘asat, each cup of lentils needs a cup of water. We are using two cups of bulgur, which needs three cups of water. We are using a cup of lentils, which needs a cup of water. A total of four cups of water. As for people who like bulgur to be a little moist, add half a cup of water, meaning for the lentils, add a cup and a half of water. In total, it will be four and a half cups. The mujadara will be a little moist, but I prefer it to be dry so that the bulgur comes out fluffy and looks good with tea. I stir them so that the spices and lentils mix with the bulgur. We remove them and put them in the pot . When I turn on the pot, we switch to the third mode, the pressure mode. We will use the third program, the Delete Release program, the delayed steam release program. As for the pressure, we use high pressure HE. As for the time, I choose two minutes. I press the steam button to determine the time in which the steam is released. The word “Set” appears, and next to it, we determine the time for two minutes. Pay attention to this step. Then I press the Start button to start the program. I turn off the Keep Warm feature and the Keep Warm feature so that the bulgur does not stick to us. We will start preparing the steam at the beginning, as you can see, by counting lines until it reaches approximately eight, between 10 to 15 minutes, and then it will start counting down the time until it is finished. After that, it will beep and release the steam naturally for two minutes without us noticing at all, and then it will beep again and release the steam completely automatically. We will say “In the name of God” and open this pot. In the name of God, look at me. Praise be to God, the mujaddara is coming out different. We will stir them lightly. To make sure that everything is okay, and my sisters, you should have heated a cup of tea and olive oil. I forgot to add some olive oil to the mujaddara, but when it is cooked, we will add some onions. We will stir them and the mujaddara will be okay. Of course, my sisters, during the bulgur and lentil dish, it does not need oil unless we want the bulgur to be extra fatty. As for the onions, I do not advise you to add onions while cooking the bulgur because it will not taste good. It is better if… If you want Mujaddara to be authentic, make it the same way I do. Let’s pour them, shape them, and taste them. We’ll tell you the result. That way, my sisters, we’ll have reached the final result, as you can see. The bowl speaks for itself. Of course, Mujaddara is a purely vegetarian dish rich in proteins and minerals. On the side is a basic yogurt and cucumber salad with some pickles. Of course, my sisters, as for the onions, you can order more, but I prefer them blond so their flavor stays in them and they don’t burn, and they have a bit of softness. We start trying them, saying Bismillah, and we go in, Bismillah. Look at how the bulgur and lentils came out, Bismillah. It’s an amazing flavor, a traditional taste with a modern touch. In the Ninja pot, you have to try it, my sisters. Let’s also look at the onions. You’ve only tried them in the Ninja pot. I also assure you that you will stop frying them in oil completely, but make them in the same way, and if you want the magical way I told you, make them at 150 for between 20 to 25 minutes, and if you like the video, my sisters, at the end, like it and subscribe to the channel to receive all that is new first, and write us your opinions in the comments as soon as you try the Mujaddara. And on the occasion of the shop, my sisters, the next video, God willing, will be about the slushie making machine from Ninja Salam.
