Good food and fun promised at French-themed market near Kildare border

A market themed around French culture (and in particular, French food) is coming soon to a location near the Kildare-Laois border.

Solas Eco Garden Shop will be hosting its annual ‘French Festival’ event later this month. It follows after the business held a car boot sale last Sunday (June 29).

According to Solas: “Join us for a vibrant day of French culture — where wine flows, music plays, and families gather to enjoy the joie de vivre!”

The event will feature: French-inspired music, an artisan French market, free kids activities, and French food.

In addition, those who have have a French-inspired product, food, or craft are encouraged to join the event — “Email events@solaseco.ie to apply for a stall,” the business said.

Solas also emphasised that wine tasting tickets are limited, and can be booked online.

The ‘French Festival’ will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10am until 5pm.
