What can I say? I’m a sauce guy. I want my wings swimming in a buffalo lake. You get a nice mix of the regular buffalo and the hot buffalo with some fresh fried bone in wings and and man…doesn’t get any better.

  1. 1 cup franks

    1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

    1 tbs white vinegar

    1 tsp garlic powder

    1 tsp onion powder

    1 tbs hot sauce of choice ( or more or less)

    Half stick of butter

    Heat and stir until well mixed and combined. DONT LET IT BOIL. it will lose the emulsion.

    Play with the amounts but this is my go to.

    Franks normal hot sauce taste like just any typical buffalo sauce to me. Never liked it.

    It’s fine if you mix it with butter first to make it stick to the wings, otherwise the sauce mostly runs off. I prefer the Melinda’s Ghost for wings, I just mix it with butter, garlic, bbq sauce and a little pineapple juice

    Agreed but yesterday I made chicken tenders and did the sweet habanero cholulas with butter….gawh dam it was fiah.

    Agreed, it is the original. Unfortunately I find it below average for every other hot sauce application

    Eh, Ppl act like because it’s common and heavily vinegar based it’s bad. If you don’t like you don’t like it. I personally love Franks and Franks buffalo. But some guy will tell me they love Tobasco and Sriracha and I can’t stand them. Tobasco is watery and not flavorful to me Sriracha is too sweet and ketchupy.

    For an industrial scale sauce, I agree. Used yo use the XXtra hot regularly.

    Now, I’d probably tend to just make my own.

    Recently got some bottles of Defcon Sauces out of New Jersey and the Defense Condition 1 (hot) and Defense Condition 2 (medium) wing sauces are next level good. The hot version has legit heat, they even have a Cluckwork Orange wing sauce that sounds nuclear

  13. I go with black valentinas, a stick of butter, a pinch of cayenne, and a solid plop of del Primos

  14. Best buffalo sauce BASE. I always add a splash of Marie Sharp’s.

    Buffalo sauce is basically just hot sauce and butter, why am I going to buy premade when I already keep both ingredients in quantity?

    Franks, with Tabasco and garlic crystal, butter, and a splash of garlic reaper.

    For nostalgia wings, nothing beats Franks. I’ll add some other things to it of course. But it’s a great base.
