SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A restaurant in the bustling historic district of Commercial Street has announced it has closed its doors after six years.
Cafe Basilico posted to Facebook Saturday morning that it has officially closed.
“We will miss all our faithful travelers and foodies. Thank you all who have graced our establishment and made lifelong connections, words cannot express our gratitude,” the restaurant said.
Basilico said they are excited about the future and new opportunities and that the restaurant space is now for lease. Cafe Basilico sat between Ink Ink Tattoo and a vacant storefront near the corner of Commercial and Robberson Avenue.
The restaurant owners say they welcome anyone to reach out to them for any business ideas to fill the now-empty location.
According to previous Facebook posts from the restaurant, Cafe Basilico has had to close at certain times due to staffing shortages and staffing changes.
