First time moving towards this price point in Bordaux and unfortunately for my wallet, I would argue its worth it

Would love to see tasting notes and how you compare it to other price points. I personally love Margaux, and buy a range each year. Have generally found the better houses to be more consistent, and more pleasant even in difficult vintages. That said – if it’s your average Thursday night I’m probably opening a bottle of d’Issan or similar.

How much air did that need? Feels like it needs 3+ hours in the decanter.

Haven’t drank a ton of Bordeaux but got lucky and was able to get 6 of 2017 alter egos from Margaux and it’s spectacular. I imagine this is even better.

I hope you have more. That one could last for decades!

Super seconds in top vintages are almost always really impressive wines
