I have the IQ 110 that I used on my 22 WSM. It seemed that no matter what the intake vent setting on the IQ was at, it would end up pulling as much air as the fire wanted and would lead to overtemps, and the cooker would settle at whatever temp it was comfortable at, on mine it’s right around 300°.
I use a BBQ Guru DigiQ, which is the same setup in principle of this. It really helps manage the fires well, I would say make sure you don’t rely just on this for temp management, in case it fails mid cook, know how to use the vents effectively. That said, enjoy!!
Did it come with the probe port or did you drill that yourself?
