My dietician wants me to have small meals every 4~ hours (metabolic condition) and as much as I love olives / fruit / nuts, I know I will eventually get tired of this and want more complex flavours.
Hit me with your favourite snacks/small meals!
Photo is one of my recent experiments – sourdough toast, drizzle of olive oil, fior di latte, fresh cherries, basil, cracked pepper and Maldon salt.

Corn ribs, ryvitas with avocado and tomato, a bowl of fruit with nuts, dates dipped into almond butter, veggie sticks with hummus, boiled eggs, greek yoghurt, bruschetta
Mango with a drizzle of lemon and some chili powder on top. Banana dipped in Greek yogurt. And lastly, a boiled egg (boiled exactly the way I like, room temperature, 7 and a half minutes).
The key is to find a pairing or food that you like (important to experiment) and understand what is likely to hit the spot/ make you feel full. And then take the time to execute it in the way you like, too. Some of the snacks I have would make other people’s skin crawl (like when I obliterate a banana in the microwave and mix it with cocoa powder) but they’re nostalgic for me and the exact thing I crave.
Those are cherries? 😅 At first, I thought it was pieces of beet. Looks delicious 😋
My favourite snack is one or two jumbo date with pistachios.
I really like strawberries with cherries & grape with honey if you’d like (dried or fresh)
Some sort of fish (salmon/tuna are my go toes) with Black Berries
Spinach/Cabbage/Broccoli and Mushrooms
That looks 👀 very interesting taste ?
So many!
Cherry tomatoes roasted with salt, thyme and minced garlic. Served with crostini. Can add fresh mozzarella or beretta cheese for a heartier bite.
I just made a big batch of tzatziki and it won’t last long
Buttery garlicky mushrooms or artichokes in olive oil on crusty bread, apple drizzled with honey, greek yoghurt and jam, pitta bread and hummus, lemon curd straight from the jar…
