This is called Ohio Valley pizza. The cheese is cold, the crust is hard and crunchy…

This is definitely a crime. I would probably still try it, but yes, I would definitely think “what the fuck is wrong with this person?” if someone offered this to me.

  2. SilverMeTimbers69

This stuff is good. Different, yes. But don’t knock it til you try it. DiCarlo’s is the spot.

  3. SuperRusso

That’s a cracker with cheese on it. That’s no pizza, and trying to pass it as such is a crime, matter how much you like it.

  4. PerformanceCheap4074

Why cold toppings? If I wanted cold toppings, i would eat a frozen supermarket pizza…

It’s like suicide by cop… Why dirty others’ hands when you could do it yourself…

    Most definitely Guilty!

  5. PNW_Forest

I’m sorry… but did Ohio take Lunchables and claim it as a regional style?

GUILTY. Sentence, no warm food for 10 years to life. Everything straight out of the fridge… uncooked…

  6. WhenIWannabeME

Ohio always has been and always will be completely out of pocket. You absolutely need to have brew-throughs everywhere to be able to choke down lazy ass food like this.

  7. I will say, an ex once made me try a toasted breakfast muffin with grated cheese at tomato in, the muffin was hot, but the cheese wasnt melted, just a bit warm. And I thought id hate it, but its amazing. I could see this tasting similar.

Not quite a pizza imo, but…bread is good, cheese- good , sauce-good….how bad can it be

  8. Dangerous_Pension612

No mention of Betos in Pittsburgh? Same shit .

  9. Innocent. I love melted cheese but there is also a place for cold cheese – it preserves the flavor well. The only criminal use of cheese is when it is just barely warm.

Whoever came up with this concept was obviously unloved as a child

  11. HungryMudkips

see the thing is, despite appearances its not actually that bad. theres just one GIANT problem, a normal pizza is better in every way. the only reason id eat this is if there was no normal pizza. it……doesnt justify its existence.

    guilty. 1 million years dungeon.

A special panel of judges in Rome will decide the punishment for this crime.

  13. GolfChefCoach

Listen, I like them all, I’m partial to Detroit style. But I love New York and Chicago and just about everything in between Even got my love for California. classic Napolitano is untouchable. This is a crime against humanity.

  14. Infinite_Tiger_3341

    I don’t think it’s gross, but I do think it’s fucking stupid

  15. YippieKayYayMrFalcon

    Just like a Lunchables pizza.

    Guilty.

  16. kalel1980

Maybe not a crime, but someone should get a slap across the face for that.

  17. Reverse_Flash_

They actually talked about cold pies on the pizza show. Apperntly they’re regional pizzas made in areas with high college populations. Made for drinks kids to eat and not burn the roofs of thier mouths and it caught on fire

  18. wizzard419

Is it a hot pizza which they put more cheese on top?

I would say whatever the precedent for the cold cheese slice set would be the same. If none set then try them together.

  19. walterbsfo

I thought it was called a “Didn’t pay the electric bill pizza”

  20. metroliker

Ohio not beating the allegations with this one

  21. CompetitiveRub9780

    I don’t trust him… I do not think that’s good

  22. LifeLikeAGrapefruit

Cold cheese on a hard pizza?

    No thank you. Guilty.

  23. LightWarrior_2000

Not sure if this is the same pizza, but I recall seeing on TV about some college town pizza where they cook it like a normal pizza and top with a little extra cold cheese shreds afterwards, said it helped protect burning the roof of the mouth and people liked it.

    *shrug*

To anyone wondering why, this is specifically designed to be this way.

“Ohio Valley-style pizza, originating from Steubenville, Ohio, is a unique pizza characterized by its square or rectangular shape, thick, fluffy crust, and a topping application method where cheese and other toppings are added cold after the pizza is baked.”

Still probably a crime, but its at least on purpose.

  26. tee142002

Between this and skyline chili, I’m just going to assume any foods that originate in Ohio are garbage.

  27. Classic-Exchange-511

It’s not good. I have a friend from Ohio that made me try it

  28. that_one_nerd470

This is one of the few things I can say look scary but tastes fucking amazing. We don’t have any where I live but I used to go to West Virginia a lot and they have these style pizzas quite commonly and I made it a mission that every time I was there, I’d get a pizza like that. So, so damn good.

If this pizza is illegal, then I’m guilty.

(Ps. They generally look a lot better than the pic provided it looks like someone fucking threw the pie before opening it.)

  29. Porkwarrior2

Ohio Pizza & Ohio All You Can Eat Sushi.

    Yeah, shifty looking.

  30. key1234567

This looks and sounds like a lunchable. Guilty!!!

  31. Murphybestboy

We have a pizza place on Long island, NY that serves this. Always packed!

  32. Pugilist12

Eh, there’s a place near Pittsburgh called Police Station Pizza that does this and it’s *extremely* popular. I’ve had it. It was good. I don’t think I’d get it all the time but it definitely wasn’t a crime.
