First time growing tomatoes (ever). Second Brandywine picked of the season (first one split). I've got about two more ready to ripen soon and another dozen in various stages of growth across two plants plus about 20 more flowers that just popped.

My inconsistent watering has led to so many split tomatoes in past years! Does brandywine turn a deeper red than that or is that orangey hue it’s ripe colour?
