The very best in British cuisine was enjoyed by 160 guests at a lavish State Banquet held at Windsor Castle for visiting French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte.
Royal followers have been given a glimpse into the kitchen at the English castle, where the incredible dishes were created.
Chef Raymond Blanc OBE was charged with creating the first course and dessert for the three-course meal, in collaboration with highly-skilled Royal Household staff.

To conclude the meal, coffee and petit fours were served.

A cocktail was also specifically created for the event.
It is called L’entente, a combination of British gin with lemon curd and French pastis, garnished with dried French cornflowers and English roses.
It has reportedly taken almost a week to put together the 50-metre table for the banquet, lit by candlelight once the evening light fades.

Hand-picked and seasonal flowers from the gardens at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle were used to decorate the table, along with flowers and lavender from The Savill Garden in Windsor Great Park.
They were arranged in silver-gilt centrepieces taken from the Grand Service.
