Has anyone added fruit juice to the granola to any kind of success? I recently saw a passionfruit granola in the supermarket and was wondering if adding juice is the way to get that flavor without burning or sogging up the final product.

Take a look at the ingredients. It will let you know if they used desiccated fruit powder and keep an eye out for citrates which can add tartness outside of the core flavor

I’d be careful about adding too much sugar and liquid. You might end up with really dark bitter tasting granola before it’s fully dried. That was my main issue with the banana granola.

I wouldn’t do that it will prevent the granola from getting crispy. And i’m not convinced it would add much flavor

Like add some dried passion fruit at the end? Or the juice on your bowl of granola to eat like museli maybe

I wasn’t a huge fan of the buttermilk version, personally. The final texture was a little on the harder side. I also didn’t like the lack of other seasonings and how the fruit had nothing on it. It reminded me more of a cereal with added fruit. I like my granola clusters to have a little bit of everything in them.

Another idea: boil the passionfruit juice down into a syrup and use a few T in place of honey, maple syrup, or sugar in your standard granola recipe. You may get more flavor that way.
