It rained all last night and now I have these black things everywhere. Are they eggs?

I believe they are poop. So there used to be eggs, now there are worms/caterpillars.

Check the underside of the leaves. You’ve got caterpillars.

Frass is a fancy word for it

Looks like a brassica. You have cabbage worms. They will decimate your plants if you don’t eradicate them. When plants are dry after the rain spray them thoroughly top and bottom with BtK (Safer is a widely available brand). It’s organic. Then cover your plants with insect mesh. Repeat spraying every few days until all the caterpillars are gone. The mesh keeps the pretty little white moths with a little black spot on each wing from laying new eggs. I am rarely a “spray first” kind of gardener but these buggers deserve it.

It’s frass (poop) from caterpillars. If you don’t see them on the underside of the leaves then check in cracks and crevasses of the plant. Some like to hide in the day

If you don’t spray or decide to pick them by hand. Check against the stems and along the veins in the leaves. That’s where I find them most often, when they aren’t brazenly ruining my plants.
You can almost gently roll/brush your hands along the larger smooth leaves on Broccoli, Cauliflower and sprouts. Mashing up the caterpillars as you go.
The caterpillars are light green with yellow/reddish spots and stripes. Look up Cabbage looper moth. Or just looper moth I guess. They aren’t huge as you can imagine. But not tiny.

Caterpillar shit. Start searching and plucking. Get BT spray, organic, safe for every species on the planet but for caterpillars.

You likely have brassica worms (the green caterpillars).

Hit ‘em with some Bacillus Thuringiensis.

Caterpillar poop! Probably some white moths. They love brassicas
