This plant was put into its final pot 50 days ago and finally has something. Does that seem like a normal time frame? It's not even a spicy pepper; it's shishito. My first prediction was to have ready peppers by july 17th.

Impossible for anyone here to say, depends on its growing conditions, fertilizer, watering, temperature, amount of sunlight, etc

I started getting shishitos coming in pretty early this season but none have ripened yet!

12 years, they are way to young depending on genetics and pepper type could be 30 days could be 60 days.

Those look like they might fall off (based on the color and growing hundreds of my own pepper plants)

From that point though 60-75 days for annuum 90-100 for chinense at least

You will not have mature ripe peppers on July 17th, think like Sept 17th. You’ll know they are ripe and mature when they are no longer green but bright red.

No way those will be ready in 11 days. You could obviously harvest them in that time, but it’ll more likely be 3 weeks. It’ll also depend on if you want to wait until they turn red, or harvest green. Regardless, 11 days isn’t going to happen.

  6. Most likely two months for ripe…edible and still green prior

Nature will be nature. Beware of the seed packets and times to harvest ect. Each situation is different due to pot size, nutrition, sun, watering… you get the idea. My plants always take longer and are much bigger but my pots are plain dynamite. Never estimate just go with it. Green shishito… a few weeks, red u got along wait.

I’m around Philly and I usually get a good harvest around or just before football season.

Until they get ripe. This isn’t like a recipe where you cook a dish at a certain temperature for a certain time. There are too many variables: temperature, amount of sunlight, amount of water etc…

I eat shishitos green. From this stage, my guess is they will take about 2-3 weeks until they are big enough to harvest. If you want to wait until they are red, expect a month or more. Keep in mind that if you pick them green you’ll probably get a bigger harvest overall.

I’m in California zone 9b, I started my shishitos indoors February 6th by seed. On March 17th, I put them outdoors, and as of right now they are producing well but the plants are not as large as I’d like them to be though it’s producing quite well. All that being said, depending on your grown zone you could still get a good harvest, an okay harvest, or you’re too late your season for any fruit.
