As long as it’s been refrigerated, you should be fine. You’ll know when you taste it!

heck yeah. sometimes I eat my leftover sushi for breakfast 😁

Advice-the rice will be hard when it comes out of the fridge. Sounds counterintuitive, but let it sit covered on the counter for about 30 minutes to lose its chill. The texture will be better. For nigiri, if you want you can even pop the fish off and replace it

If you leave it out there, then no. Pop it in the fridge.

  5. I’ve ate 2-4day old fridge sushi/sashimi many many times, never an issue for me!

  6. Worked at an upscale sushi restaurant before in nyc. Manager would toss out sushi that waited over 45 mins due to risks.

  7. Depends on
    1. How long ago they were made? Even if technically safe, rice dries out so even a day later isn’t very good tasting under some refrigeration conditions.
    2. How fresh was the fish in the first place? Have they been refrigerated the whole time?
    3. How strong is your stomach?

I personally wouldn’t eat anything where this question even need to be asked. 😂

You’ve got to refrigerate it and the texture of the rice will suffer.

  9. I personally don’t eat leftover sushi (I live in Japan so fresh sushi is too easy to come by), but I’m sure it’s safe to do so as long as the fish hasn’t gone off. The fish shouldn’t have a foul odor or be slimy.

I’ve ordered a large amount of sushi and ate the leftovers the next day. The rice will be hard, so sometimes I just eat the fish with spicy mayo or soy sauce.

I mentioned in another comment that something popular to do right now is separate the fish from the rice and fry up the rice to make it crispy and top it with the fish mixed with spicy mayo and some other seasoning.

Used to work sushi and fish butchering, definitely no.
Moisture will escape from the rice and def will spoil it.
And the fish is usually freezed to kill bacteria before serving.
I cant give scientific explanation but it’s usually not reccomended to eat rice or fish left for more than an hour

If they did the rice the right way and used sushi rice vinegar then the rice should still be moist and not dried out
