With a sizable collective of trumpets, trombones, saxes, drums, and a big green sousaphone, the Fall Creek Brass Band always attracts a crowd and gets everybody’s feet moving.
Originally formed at Dryden High School over a decade ago, FCBB experienced a recent rebirth, recruiting the talent of funk masters all around the Ithaca area. Since then, the band has developed its own funky sound, which can be heard on their latest album, Prime Time. Now, FCBB plays many events and venues around the Ithaca area and beyond, and they are a crowd favorite at the Grassroots Festival, Ithaca Festival, Downtown Concert Series, Porchfest, and many more.

We celebrate summer and the generosity of our community with a FREE outdoor concert featuring multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter and national touring artist MATT VENUTI. Matt is known for creating soul-stirring acoustic and electronic music with innovative instruments that he was among the very first to explore. Some of these include the Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) wind synth, and the Hang; an acoustic flying saucer-shaped instrument known for its hauntingly beautiful sounds. Matt’s concerts feature original, sometimes improvisational compositions, with interplay between an array of different instruments and a looping device. He just returned to his home area in the Finger Lakes following a tour of 55 venues that circumnavigated the United States. Matt’s performances have been described as inspiring and immersive experiences.
