MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A local pizza shop got a pleasant surprise when an NFL legend walked through their door this week — Former New York Giant Eli Manning.

The two-time Super Bowl Champ came to New York Pizza and Italian Restaurant in Chester on Wednesday for a bite to eat.

“A New York legend at New York Pizza,” the establishment’s social media post read. “Was a pleasure meeting Eli Manning today, thank you for stopping by 🏈🍕”

The legendary quarterback won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants in 2008 and 2012, earning the Most Valuable Player title for both games. He’s also a four-time Pro Bowl selection and won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award in 2016.

Nowadays, Manning is still affiliated with the New York Giants in a “business operations and fan engagement role.” Fans also might seem him hosting “Eli’s Places” on ESPN+, or co-hosting “ManningCast” on ESPN2 alongside his brother Peyton.

New York Pizza and Italian Restaurant, located at 57 Main St #2 in Chester, has been opened since 1999. The establishment offers a wide selection of pizza options, as well as “delectable array of Italian cuisine.” The restaurant can be contacted at 908-879-4424.
