I just unboxed my new kamado and noticed some cracks in the dome, as well as (in my opinion) a bent latch. I’ve included some pics. I’m new to this brand, is this normal? Or should I put in a warranty claim?

Little tiny surface lines on paint is normal, the crack on second and third is not normal

File a claim. The ceramic shouldn’t look like that. It isn’t normal wear and tear. What’s up with the latch? Looks crooked.

This is not normal. Your Joe should look mint prior to the first time you fire it. It’ll get crazing cracks on the outter enamel like a broken eggshell during your first burn in but not cracks through the porcelain. I’d return it to be honest. It’s new. If you’re in some kind of purchase scenario where a refund is not the best option, then submit a warranty claim. Be warned that despite what youtube videos say about how easy it is to install new bands, it’s a bit of a f-ck around getting a perfectly gapped factory seal again.

Your dome was misaligned judging by that latch. The pressure of the misaligning probably caused enough stress to create cracks. I would say this is a user error but KJ are generous with their warranty so give that a shot.

How did that crack happen? Was it delivered like that? If that is the case go to your retailer and talk to them about replacing it first. It may be faster and easier.
