hey guys welcome to my cookbook I’m going to show you how to make basically the national dressing of Greece It’s called lad lemono Ladi means oil Lemon means lemon Lo lemono You marry the lemon and the olive oil and you get a beautiful lemon olive oil dressing It’s very simple and it’s so good You put it on fish on chicken on lamb on uh seafood like like shrimp Um you can put it on pork chops So you put on just about anything and when you go to a restaurant in Greece a lot of times they’ll bring you pita bread and just like a little bowl like this of lad lemon and you just dip your pita bread in there your warm pita bread super easy So you you use one to two lemons about a half a cup of olive oil Um a little bit of salt a little bit of pepper which I’m missing but I will get that And this is sort of oh garlic garlic And this goes either way Some people will say do not put oregano and leather lemon Others say it’s fine put it in there In the recipe above I didn’t put it in there because my mother and I kept going back and forth and she kept saying you don’t put the the oregano in the lemon So I said “Okay fine I’ll leave it out.” But for this case I’m going to put a little bit in That’s right Mom You heard me I’m putting it in there Okay So I’m going to squeeze two lemons So you can make one lemon You can do two lemons Whatever you like Okay If you want it more citrusy add more lemons If you want it more garlicky add more garlic Dealer’s choice It’s really up to you and to your preference I like my millie lemony So I’m doing You know what I’ll do one and a half How about that Again it’s easier to add than it is to take away So I’m going to do that Then I’m going to Oh goodness I’m going to put a pinch of oregano in there like that I’m going to put a half a teaspoon of salt I’m going to mince this garlic You can put one garlic two garlics I like two Sometimes I like three Here’s a little tip Watch this Take a knife Oh I already did that one Take a knife Peel came right off Pretty easy right cup Put it in the garlic press I always just make my dressings in the Pyrex There you go One or two garlic three if you’d like Oh I forgot the pepper Hang on There you go Just a little touch of pepper again Make it Taste it and decide to adjust it to your liking Adjust the salt adjust the pepper adjust the garlic adjust the lemon Stand by I need a spoon And let’s taste It’s perfect It’s perfect It needs two garlics in my opinion A lemon and a half half a cup of olive oil and a/ teaspoon of salt That’s my desire but it’s up to you Enjoy
