Spanish wine group Familia Torres has named seasoned executive Fabrice Ducceschi as its new General Manager, with the appointment taking effect from 1 September 2025.

Familia Torres has appointed Fabrice Ducceschi as its new General Manager. Ducceschi will officially assume the role on 1 September, entering a transition period that will run until the end of 2025. He will report to the Board of Directors, which includes members of the Torres family’s fourth and fifth generations, alongside external advisors.

Based in Vilafranca del Penedès, Familia Torres is one of Spain’s most prominent wine and brandy producers. The company said the appointment highlights its continued commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

Ducceschi brings with him extensive experience in the consumer goods sector, having worked across Spain, Portugal, and France. Most recently, he was General Manager of Albacora Alimentos and served on the Advisory Board of Delaviuda Confectionery Group. Prior to that, he led Adam Foods for eight years and Nutrexpa for six years. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Nike Iberia and Nike France.

Until 2023, Ducceschi served as Vice President of AME (FIAB), a multi-sector association of food and beverage companies.

Strategic vision for growth

Miguel A. Torres, who remains Chairman of the Board, welcomed the appointment. “I am confident that Mr Fabrice Ducceschi, with his experience and global strategic vision, will help consolidate our business in this new phase and successfully address the challenges of the ever-evolving and transforming wine sector,” he said.

Torres also thanked outgoing general managers Miquel Miró and Xavier Armengol for their leadership and professionalism, noting their role in implementing key initiatives for the future of the company.

Ducceschi said: “It is an honour to join this century-old winery of international prestige. My aim is to work as a team with the directors and the Board of Directors to strengthen Familia Torres’ position both in Spain and internationally, ensuring sustainable growth aligned with the company’s values.”

Rooted in tradition, focused on the future

Founded in 1870, Familia Torres is rooted in the winemaking tradition of the Penedès, with a family history in the region dating back to the 16th century. Now led by its fifth generation, the company has vineyards and wineries across several Spanish regions, including Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, and Rías Baixas, as well as operations in Chile and California.

A founding member of the International Wineries for Climate Action and the Association of Regenerative Viticulture, Familia Torres has made climate action a key focus since 2008.
