Since my Whole Foods is lacking in the updated ice cream department, I’ve been sticking to DashMart for the fun and new flavors!
Jeni’s Strawberry Pretzel Pie🍓 9.8/10 – so if you know me at all, you’d know I’m the Crumbl cookie girl as well… strawberry pretzel pie is one of my favorite cookies from Crumbl so when I saw this was released, I knew I needed to buy it immediately. I was not disappointed!! The pretzel streusel is plentiful, very crunchy, and salty-sweet. The base ice cream is a cream cheese ice cream, which has a really rich, almost custardy flavor, but it’s not heavy at all. The strawberry jam is fresh and sweet, and there’s nice big pockets of it throughout the pint. This flavor needs to be a permanent staple!
Jeni’s Toasted S’mores🏕️ 4/10 – this one is not hitting for me. The base ice cream has a weird tang to it. I know it says toasty vanilla bean marshmallow ice cream, but it mostly tastes like burned marshmallow that was rinsed in water. The graham cookie chunks are nice, they resemble pieces of cookie dough, and I appreciate the milk chocolate swirl. I’m not a fan of fudge swirls because it ends up tasting like cheap Hershey syrup, but milk chocolate tasted just like a Hershey’s chocolate bar! The inspiration is there, the execution just missed the mark.
Cold Case Convict Crunch 🕵️♀️ 8/10 – this brand is soooo funnnnn! I love the branding! The ice cream itself is super rich and chocolatey, and there’s so much marshmallow swirl in there that it’s like I’m eating marshmallow fluff straight from the tub. That is both a complaint and something I like, if that makes sense. Because there’s so much marshmallow, the texture does get goopy and way too melty for my liking, but it did also sit out a little too long so I’ll see what a day in the freezer does. The almond brittle is plentiful and crunchy! I think if the marshmallow was dialed back a bit and there was more dark chocolate ice cream instead, this would easily be a 9/10.
Cold Case Miami Ice 🥥 8.9/10 – “if you like pina coladaaaassss” it’s soooo close to being a 9/10, and since I prefer chocolate ice cream that’s saying A LOT! This one is so refreshing and perfect for this awful summer heat. I’m picturing myself sitting by the pool in Mexico😂 the coconut and pineapple flavors blend perfectly, and the addition of a strawberry jam swirl is genius. Definitely fits the detective/crime vibe, while also tasting amazing! I just wish there was some type of mix-in for texture.
Ben and Jerry’s Raspberry Cheesecake 🍰 5/10 – definitely an interesting looking topping! But I think this is the best of the topped line. The top layer is easily mixed into the rest of the ice cream, but the flavors are just not hitting right. It’s all very muted, and there’s barely any raspberry jam, which is the point of the pint… not much mix-ins either, so it honestly tastes like vanilla ice cream, not even cheesecake ice cream. Super disappointed in this, and I was excited for it because I prefer raspberry jam over strawberry!

THANK YOU for this detailed review and pictures! I had salt & straws strawberry pretzel salad and it’s almost identical- I’m curious how Jeni’s is in comparison. I’ve never heard of the other brand you got either (cold case)! It all looks delicious.
there’s three flavors Cold Case flavors that I really wanna try so I hope they’re good. Toasted Mallow wasn’t bad but it wasn’t what I was looking for; I wanted more marshmallow.
