Curious how long you were vegan for?

I had a buddy on a football team back in HS quit being vegan to gain muscle. In one night my guy ate like 2 hot dogs, 2 burgers and some other random bacon wrapped sides…He felt like absolute shit in no time lol

Feels like you were never meant to be vegan if steak excited you. Humans just aren’t meant to be vegan, thus why supplements are always necessary.

Technically, you’re having a vegan for dinner.

I learned about not being restricted in my diet but add the stuff you need like fiber and protein. You can still eat like a vegan just add steak to ensure your getting what you need 😉

Just remember: If beef is eaten as a comfort food… then technically beef is an emotional support animal.

That is a beautiful new beginning. Nice!

    Nice slab!

I was vegan for several years, and eventually went back to eating meat for health reasons, too. I was getting sick all the time, losing weight and getting respiratory infections that always turned into pneumonia. Multiple times over the course of a few years.

I was making good home-cooked, whole food vegan meals, no processed stuff, good raw ingredients, but I just wasn’t able to get the nutrients I guess I needed. Went back to meat and got better almost immediately, don’t get sick any more.

Try not to say anything to vegans. It doesn’t go down well.

I never went vegan due to health issues. Mental health issues. Meat makes me happy.

  10. Health issues? Sounds like you just wanted to eat meat again.

  11. Welcome back to the dark side. It where we are all happy and well nourished. THAT prime rib looks phenomenal, but dayum, I hope it didn’t tear you up after not having meat for a while.

Well, fuck. If you gonna do something, do it right.

We were designed to eat meat, not a veggiesaurous

That looks amazing. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a prime rib. It’s been at least six years. I must make it my mission this weekend.

I’m curious how you feel after eating this? I was a vegetarian once and if I ate meat I would be in pain for a day because I couldn’t digest it properly. Too late now but I would’ve started with like… Broth or something

Congrats on eating steak, it’s delicious

    Are those capers??

Or is it some kind of pepper (poivre)?

Was vegan for 5-6 years, had heart attack. 99% arterial blockage. Only 1 stent angioplasty required. Followed the Esselstyn program due to hypertension. Didn’t work for me. Steak is not off my menu any more.
