You can do do simple things to add nutrients to ramen like that, like get some spinach and add it to the pot as the ramen is finishing up. I usually do that with red pepper flakes and it turns out pretty well.

When youβre able to afford bread again, invest in some $1 spaghetti noodles and sauce and some cheap cheese slices. Grilled spaghetti cheese sandwiches are the bomb and can stretch the hell out of a pot of spaghetti.

I thought it was ramen on instant mashed potatoes. Which since I have PMS right now sounds good as hell but I am sure Iβd regret it.

You can never fail on Oatmeal+Peanut Butter and other side toppings…cheap but effective

Sorry but this making my mouth water

Just add veggies and protein when you can. You can buy meat and veggies by the pound which makes them a really affordable option when preparing single meals.

If you cook the noodles or rice the night before and refrigerate it. Then it changes the molecules of the startch to be better for your health, and keeps you feeling more full.

You need to get some lentils. As long as you start the month with a bag of rice and a bag of lentils you won’t die. It’s the cheapest meal ever.

Well you wonβt starve

Adding on, if you need nutrients, frozen mixed vegetables are a pretty solid nutrient supplement for relatively cheap.

Ramen and Bar S hot dogs on and off for seven years and paid off 107 k mortgage on house. I was the Bubba Gump of dogs.

For a change I cook noodles as usual then pan fry until crispy then flip and fry. Little crunchy on sides and perfect texture inside.

People do that in korea.
After you eat the rain, you put the rice in the soup and eat it.

Get a bag of potatoes, make mashed potatoes – makes a more filling starch and has a lot of additional minerals.
Buy a bag of dried lentils (not split lentils), they are maybe a dollar for a pound – one cup of that will make several meals. They are filling, high in protein and other essential nutrients you’re not getting from all the carbs – and will keep you fuller for longer. 2:1 ratio of water to lentils, boil for 25 minutes, season and serve over rice (only add salt at the end of cooking for lentils otherwise it makes them kinda tough).
You can even make a big stew with them, just time it so they can cook for ~25 minutes in the stew. I make that for lunches pretty regularly. One cup of these + a starch and some vegetables makes five lunches.
If you’re not shopping at Aldi, go to Aldi.
Happy to share poor tips if you’d like more.

Iβm sorry to hear about the struggle meal. When you have money try to buy bread (you can freeze it) and other stuff you can freeze or store on sale as it will stretch your money. I buy stuff like hotdogs on sale and freeze them (some store brand hotdogs can be dirty cheap all the time) – nothing better then a glizzy on bread!
