Not much to fear there. You HAVE been mis-sold.

Snap. I got some reaper seeds and they look exactly like cayenne

Me too. I was hoping to have 3 armageddons but they’re all jalapeños. I bought them. All off a matching tray at a garden center

You got Apache chillies, about 80-90,000 Scovilles, but they’re no Reapers, sorry.

This is one reason why I don’t bother buying plants anymore. Not hard to grow your own and grow light have come down in price since the early days. I don’t even have “proper” grow lights, I just use clam fixtures with 5000K daylight LED bulbs. https://i.imgur.com/EYz0rmJ.jpg But if you need a lot of them it make no sense to buy these since LED grow lights aren’t as expensive as they used to be.

Unfortunately it’s also not uncommon to get the wrong seeds. But I’d still rather grow my own.

Look from positive side, that at least there is a pepper you can enjoy.

i’m not from america but judging from all the negative feedback, pepper joe’s is like those video game cd key selling sites like g2a

Two of mine this year were shown to be one pepper, but both turned out different peppers.

I imagine this is somewhat of a common occurrence. Seeds so tiny

I may have this exact tag in my garden. No peppers yet

You’ve been reaped off my friend 🤷🏻‍♂️

Last year I bought 8 california whoppers green peppers so I could freeze in strips for stir fries..they were all jalepenos which I grew too but you can only freeze so many poppers. I gave away huge sacks of peppers leaving on doorsteps of friends.. lol I think the kids at Walmart or menards etc are switching the plant tabs

  14. Likely cross pollinated over a few generations and they just keep collecting and bagging the seeds as is
