I’ve been looking around for my first pleat smoker and thought I was going with the pit boss 700DX. Saw this at Lowe’s this morning and was wondering if it could be a good choice. I like that it’s compact, comes with wifi, seems like it would be easy to clean.
I don’t see many posts with these vertical smokers. Also, I don’t need the “grill” or high heat on a smoker. I have other charcoal and gas grills for that.

I’ve had this unit for 2 years now and love it. She gives me a bit of a hard time in cold weather but we have worked through it.
Had this one for six months now. Love it as well. Really spacious and lots of size options with meat cuts since you can make it as big or as small of gaps as you want.
Keep the water pan full
Keep the glass clean after at least every 3 smokes. Wipes off with apple cider vinegar if you let it go too long.
Empty the fire pot and drip tray after every smoke.
If you live in a damp climate only put in the pellets you need for that smoke. Hopper is so huge that they’ll get damp and clog the auger over time if you take too long to use them all up.
If you clog the auger, this one is super simple to clean out. Take the smok stack off the top, flip it upside down. There you access like 10 screws and bam, easy auger access. No getting down on your hands and knees.
I’ve owned mine for 3 years and love it. My only actual complaint is I’m not taking full advantage of the full space because I typically only smoke 1 butt or a few ribs max.
I have one. No issues at all. It smokes well.
