Today we have two recipes of healthy salads,
rich in omega-3s, protein, antioxidants, vitamin C, and many other nutrients, from
the author of this channel, doctor Beni. We need one medium size green
bell pepper. Cut into thin slices. Also one medium size tomato.
Peel it, or leave it unpeeled, to your taste. Cut tomato into small pieces. Add six full tablespoons cooked
parboiled white long grain rice. It contains more vitamins and minerals than
white rice, and has a lower glycemic index. And half a can of canned tuna.
You can also add any healthy spices to your taste. They boost metabolism and help with weight loss.
Mix well and enjoy this tasty and nutritious salad.
With this salad you get 460 calories, and lots of nutrients you see on the screen.
Note that there is no need to add any salt, as rice was already lightly salted while cooking,
and canned tuna also contains some amount. These amounts are enough for taste, while adding
more salt can cause lots of health issues. For the second salad take 50
grams of lettuce, and cut. Three small size tomatoes, or two medium size.
Peel the skin off, if you don’t like it, like our supervisor, and cut into small pieces.
50 grams of black pitted olives, also cut into small pieces.
A can of canned corn. And the remaining half of the canned
tuna. Very small amount of salt, as corn is unsalted, and black pepper,
or any other spices to your taste. With this second salad you get a little bit more
calories, but also significantly more protein, dietary fiber, and other vitamins and minerals.
