Finally got my hands on some picanha (whole from Costco, I cut them into steaks and individually vac sealed). 129 for 2.5 h, seared for 30 s each side in a pan with beef tallow. I wish I had a grill to get charcoal flavor :((( Almost pulled the trigger on the GE indoor smoker but couldn’t justify the $600 price tag.

Thank you for your picture post to r/souvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

I’d say it’s more like a ballfield in Iowa carved out of a cornfield with the ghosts of long-dead players coming to use it but that’s a pretty good second …. 😜
No, you need to add some nori to that rice 😊
