Oh boy, clam shells! Yum yum!
Crime
This is a crime to me!! And I’m somebody who likes fires on pizza
I found that 99% of the time this happens because of that lots of people think the dough part is just the container of the cheese casserole.
I declare this pizza GUILTY on all counts. A burning will be held in the parking lot outside next Tuesday. This court is adjourned.
Not even a crime. Clam Pizza is popular in Connecticut, and New England. And delicious.
Kenji cooks the Clams on the pizza to avoid shucking.
Who wants to finger bang their pizza removing seashells
Your Honour, Whole clams are a traditional topping in various cuisines, especially Italian, and their use reflects culinary diversity without causing harm to any other pizzas. On that note, I’d like to hereby assert that my client is innocent of all accounts of pizza crime.
Innocent. It’s a bomb ass, delicious as fuck looking clam pizza with a side of clams sitting on top being infused with the pizza’s oils
Clam pizza is amazing, there’s nothing wrong with shellfish pizza or shellfish in pizza, and the shellfish aren’t hurting the pizza. When done properly the shells don’t stick to the cheese and the shellfish is infused with the flavor of the pizza. You get delicious clams soaked in the oils and flavors of the pizza that can be plucked off, eaten, and the pizza underneath is completely unharmed from the shell being there.
The only people who wouldn’t like it are the people who dislike or aren’t big fans of clams in general. Saying clam pizza is a crime because they’re gross, don’t belong on pizza, etc is the equivalent of the great pineapple war. Pineapple is fucking disgusting on pizza, but unfortunately it isn’t a crime.
The clams on top aren’t harming the pizza underneath, shellfish are an acceptable pizza topping. No crime was committed. Innocent.
I say no crime. If you like clams, you take them off, eat the clams then eat the pie and potentially stab your gums on shell shards. It’s the price for the life.
I knew getting steel toe cap teeth was a good idea 👍
Crime. Don’t mix seafood and cheese. Probably one of the biggest italian crimes you could possibly pull off.
No Kenji slander here.
I’ve had fruit of the sea pizza in Venice before, absolutely the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had, but! It did come with shells on the class and mussels like this, while I understand its supposed to show that theyre fresh, I absolutely despised having to deal with all the shells before I could eat
I gotta be honest… if someone puts even a spaghetti dish in front of me that requires me to remove sharp edged shells as I go, I’m angry. Some asshole restaurant did that to me with some $14 soup appetizer, and it was some stewed tomatoes, clam shells and thin fishy water in a bowl. I fucking walked out.
What the fuck is a Romano?

Not a clam fan myself, but it’s popular with others so I’ll give it a pass (even though I probably wouldn’t eat it myself).
What’s the problem of just putting the clams on the pizza, without the inedible part?
I don’t put the whole tomato plant on the whole pizza because it looks fancier that just the sauce or the whole cow because its fancier than cheese.
What a weird thing to do.
I know frutti di mare pizza from Italy where there is all seafood on a pizza including clams, but they don’t put shells on it, because that would be stupido.
That’s a good idea. I’ll try it with mussels, they’re easier to get hold of (South East England)
Even though it eats stupid, this is a well known type of pizza. I think individuals who order/make this know what they’re getting into, and that the pizza is a vehicle to absorb the flavor from the clams. Not guilty.
