if you’ve scrolled Tik Tok or Instagram lately you’ve probably seen the cottage cheese craze but here’s the thing i don’t think it’s just another viral trend for women like us that are trying to lose stubborn weight boost our energy and just feel good again cottage cheese is actually a useful tool it’s low in carbs packed with protein and it keeps you full and using it to make a meal inside a bowl does not take a lot of effort today I’m showing you how to turn this simple ingredient into quick high protein meals that you can throw together in under 5 minutes because I’m all about making healthy eating doable and actually enjoyable first let’s make a cheeseburger bowl using cottage cheese now I know when I first heard about this I too was making that face that you’re probably making right now but wow this was actually really good and something that both my husband and I have devoured and had several times and I think it’s just as good as the first day I made it let’s start with the star of today’s show the cottage cheese add in 1/3 cup of cottage cheese and this is going to give you 9 g of additional protein to your meal next I add in half of a cup of cooked ground beef that I’ve seasoned with salt and pepper and garlic powder this is something that I think would be a good idea to prep ahead of time so that you can easily assemble these bowls the day of or just right before you want to enjoy them then I add some pickles just slice some dill pickle right in there then shredded cheddar cheese and about half of a Roma tomato that’s diced [Music] up and some red onion about 1 to 2 tablespoons then for the topping it wouldn’t be a cheeseburger without some mayo and ketchup so this is around a tablespoon of mayo and a tablespoon of sugar-free ketchup and I like to add shredded iceberg lettuce to my bowls but I realized with filming this that I grabbed a bowl that was way too small to fit the amount of lettuce that I usually use i like to add in around two cups of shredded lettuce and obviously you don’t want to eat this deconstructed like this so I put it in a bigger bowl and combined all the ingredients together so that each bite is covered with the cottage cheese the mayo and the ketchup added in a little bit more lettuce because like I said I like to have at least two cups in there and that’s it it’s so tasty and filling it’s only 488 calories around 40 gram of protein and only eight net carbs and the cottage cheese I mean you can’t even taste it in this bowl but it does a lot for the flavor up next is another ground beef and cottage cheese bowl but this time we’re making a taco cottage cheese bowl it’s like a taco salad but with cottage cheese it sounds gross again but trust me it’s actually delicious and this time I grabbed a bigger bowl too on the bottom of this bowl I add a few handfuls of shredded iceberg lettuce then our cottage cheese use anywhere from a third to a half of a cup here then our taco meat i’m using a half of a cup this is another thing I prepped up ahead of time using ground beef and my keto taco seasoning that I have on my website just Google keto focus taco seasoning to get it it has all these clean ingredients in it and it’s delicious [Music] then some diced green bell pepper diced Roma tomato some shredded cheddar cheese and a heaping tablespoon of [Music] guacamole and I like to top it with a little bit of cilantro but it’s not necessary we don’t need to add any sour cream because the cottage cheese is sort of taking on that role but I do like to add a squirt of taco sauce actually I would normally use salsa but I didn’t have any so I always have taco sauce on hand so that’s what I used and I love taco sauce too this is another bowl that you cannot even tell has cottage cheese in it it has over 41 g of protein and less than five carbs and you’re going to want to eat this for dinner and lunch all week one of the reasons why I love these cottage cheese bowls is that they’re perfect for the summer no stove no sweat from the effort just delicious quick proteinpacked meals that will help you feel good when the heat is doing its thing speaking of summer essentials I’ve summer on our minds this garden chicken salad cottage cheese bowl is going to be on repeat for me this summer and it’s so easy to make which is one of the reasons why I love it my shortcut for chicken is to grab a bag of Real Good Foods chicken nuggets most grocery stores carry this in the freezer section i know Walmart does and Safeway does those are the two local ones around me although this is the version that Safeway had it was the General SA chicken i think that’s how you pronounce that but it works because it still has the breaded chicken nuggets in it and then just the sauce packet comes separately so it’s like you’re getting chicken nuggets and I’m not going to use the sauce for this bowl I’m using a half of a cup of the chicken and I cooked it in the air fryer according to the package directions i love this chicken because it’s low carb depending on what version you get it can be as low as at like 1 or 2 g of carbs per serving and it’s gluten-free too but of course if you don’t have access to this or don’t want to cuz maybe it’s too expensive you could always just use some shredded cooked chicken while that’s cooking I’m going to assemble the rest of the bowl start with a layer of cottage cheese this is a half of a cup then top with some diced cucumber diced tomato and then add on the cooked breaded chicken once it’s ready and I’m also using two hard-boiled eggs that I’ve diced up just for some extra protein and I like to squirt on some ranch dressing for additional flavor another option that I’ve heard of people doing is to mix in some dry ranch seasoning into the cottage cheese itself but I just didn’t want to have to open up a packet and some people don’t actually like those because they don’t think the ingredients are clean um so if that’s you you could just go with a brand of ranch dressing that you trust now a common sense question that you might be asking because I asked the same thing is well do you heat this bowl up because we have the hot chicken and the cold cottage cheese and the answer is no you actually eat it cold with the cold cottage cheese and the warm chicken and it still tastes delicious it doesn’t mess up any of the experience it’s It’s excellent with a combination of the cottage cheese the chicken and egg you’re actually getting over 50 g of protein and it’s only around 450 calories and 7.8 net carbs another Tik Tok cottage cheese bowl that caught my attention was this Buffalo chicken jalapeno bowl and this one only has four ingredients so it’s definitely a good option when you do not feel like putting in the effort starting with the cottage cheese add in a half of a cup again this is cold then you’re going to need around half a cup of that cooked breaded chicken that we just cooked up then drizzle on some buffalo sauce and top with pickled [Music] jalapenos and that’s it it’s so simple yet so tasty this whole bowl comes to 36 g of protein 280 calories and six net carbs i saved the most popular cottage cheese bowl for last and I don’t know if it’s the best because there is one thing about this bowl that I don’t like and I’m trying to work on avoiding that situation but we’re going to make the cottage cheese pizza bowl and it’s been viral on Tik Tok and Instagram for the past year it’s basically like our keto pizza bowls that we do but we’re adding cottage cheese to get a little extra protein the recipe starts with a half a cup of cottage cheese but I’m going to whip up mine first because when I first made this bowl I didn’t whip it and when I baked up the pizza bowl it was really liquidy and I think that was from the cottage cheese and I don’t want to strain the cottage cheese first before I make it because that’s where a lot of the protein is at is in that liquid way but I read that some people will actually whip the cottage cheese and that cuts down on the amount of liquid that’s produced when it’s baked i also read that air frying your pizza bowls helps with this as opposed to baking it in the oven so I’ll be trying that variation as well next I add in 1/4 cup of marinara sauce and I use a/4 cup because a lot of recipes say to use 1/4 cup of marinara but in hindsight and probably going forward I think I’m going to use 2 tablespoons of marinara because I still did get some liquid formation after I baked it although not as much and I think it’s probably due to the marinara sauce then to this I add my favorite seasonings a half a teaspoon of Italian seasoning 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder and a pinch of anise seed totally optional on the anise seed but it adds amazing [Music] flavor mix that together and then add in your favorite toppings i’m using pepperoni green bell pepper canned mushrooms i love these so much i actually prefer canned mushrooms as opposed to fresh mushrooms in my pizza i know it’s kind of weird and freaky i also like pineapple in my pizza too i’m one of those and then some olives mix those toppings in and then we’re going to top it with some shredded mozzarella cheese a little bit of Parmesan cheese some more pepperoni for good measure and then a sprinkle of Italian seasoning just to make it pretty that’s the only reason [Music] why and like I said I’m baking this in my air fryer because I read that baking the air fryer doesn’t make it quite as liquidy i don’t know why this air fries at 350° F for 10 minutes or until the cheese starts to get golden and melted but what I noticed is that this still comes out liquidy although not as much as when I didn’t whip the cottage cheese and I baked it in the oven but still if you eat it right away it’s like eating pizza soup which is it’s still delicious but just not really the texture I was going for if you want it to be more solid you have to let it cool a little bit but I’m not a patient person i’m a hungry person so that usually doesn’t happen but honestly it’s it’s really good and it does remind me of our keto pizza bowls that we all used to make like 3 four 5 years ago it just has more protein in it this bowl has 29 g of protein and only eight carbs if any of these cottage cheese bowls got you guys excited well I got some more for you in For the cottage cheese pizza soupie-ness, mix in 1-2 Tbs of chia seeds with the cottage cheese base. The chia seeds will thicken it right up after a few minutes.
As a bonus, you could toast a Keto friendly tortilla in a skillet and cut it up to use like tortilla chips with your pizza bowl/dip 👍

Where do you find BREADED chicken nuggets that are 1 or 2 grams of carb? You mentioned that, and I’ve never seen any. The lowest carb nuggets I’ve found are Bare brand. About 9 or so grams of carb per serving

TV and media has pushed pizza for so long, that now people re "Addicted" to it. As an Italian chef, Pepperoni is not healthy, packed with sodium. Too much cheese is also not healthy. Too much sodium causes water retention. Just eat cottage cheese with a few berries.

I was born in the 60's, and yes, cottage cheese was THE diet food. My Mom and aunties, all lost weight then gained it right back. Last night after my Dinner Salad with chicken, I ate a small owl of organic cottage cheese with 4 local organic strawberries. So fresh and satisfying. For PIZZA, I make ground chicken crust. Now that is awesome! Ill also use an organic protein powder to cottage cheese or yogurt. Don't forget too much protein turns to glucose and will turn to fat in the body.
That Real Good Chicken is packed with sodium and SEED OILS!! Absolutely horrible! Just cook your food from scratch. Please do not suggest poisonous foods. I cannot stress this enough to stop eating the trendy packages foods.

I have always loved cottage cheese(I don't understand the hate it gets😂🤷) . I've recently had amazing results by not necessarily high protein, but just being aware of the amount I should aim for. I also get super bored with food despite rotating menus and loving to cook and experiment and then that spirals to skipping meals, and it's all downhill from there. So these easy bowls with a little prep are where it's at. Lunch is usually my downfall. As well as hot summer evenings where it's just too hot to cook and light fare is better anyway. For the longest time I was so focused on fiber and now I'm tag teaming fiber and protein and it's just been amazing.
