– 2 Chicken Breasts (Cubed – or Tofu Cubed) – 1 ½ T Cornstarch (optional to thicken sauce) – 2 T Cooking Oil
For the sauce:
– 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce – 1/4-1/2 Cup Bourbon – 1/2 Cup Hoisin Sauce – 2 T Chopped Garlic – 2 T Chopped Ginger – Pepper
Instructions:
01. Start by heating up your pan with your cooking oil of choice. 02. Add in your chicken or tofu. If you are cooking tofu, cook it until you get a nice crispy edge to it. If you are cooking chicken, keep it moving for even cooking and let it go until it has just a few minutes of cook time left. 03. Add in your sauce and turn down your heat a bit. Let this finish off the cooking time and thicken up a bit. If it is too thin, ladle out 1/4-1/2 cup of sauce and whisk in the cornstarch until smooth. Add back into your pan and give it a minute or 2 to thicken up. 04. Taste for seasoning – I like to add some garlic chili sauce at the end! Serve over rice or with veggies, however you like it! Enjoy!
