Not OP. I chose mistreated because this place has a big reputation, and this pizza is wholly inexcusable. No, My beef would not be with the char, but with the way it's topped. I say Frank Pepe's is guilty of a a crime against pizza.

    Looks like spiderman delivered this pizza after rushing into a burning building to save someone and had to go back in because he left the pizza on a table that was on fire…pizza time?

    Burned crust, burned pepperoni, terrible distribution of meat, cheese AND sauce, with the overall look of an infected wound.

    I mean, I’d still eat it, (crust goes in the bin) but definitely guilty.

    Suggested sentence: two weeks in city lock-up.

    The pepperoni distribution is shameful. While New Haven apizza is supposed to have some char on the edges, that pizza is burnt. I hope this is a fluke. (Actually, I don’t hope hard… I preferred Modern.)

    I love Frank Pepe but this pizza sucks. They screwed up basically every aspect of it.

    This is not a great pizza but it is definitely not a crime as it has all the requirements of a pizza.
