Historically I tried to pick suckers as soon as I saw them. But I never picked one once it was established. It felt like a waste of time, as I never saw any benefits in the final result of my tomato plants.
This season I decided I'm not going to do any pruning or picking any suckers. My tomato plants look as happy and healthy as ever.
I'm growing some new-to-me varieties: Brad's Atomic Grape, Yellow Accordion, and Napa Chardonnay. Most of the others I've grown before.
Tons of flowers, lots of babies, and no droopy or yellowing leaves. I've fertilized a couple of times with basic Miracle Grow, since that's what I have on hand.
You won't see any BDSM tomato bondage with my plants. I don't torture them and I don't tie them up excessively.
We already picked some sungolds, and more will be ready soon. I'm not that far off from eating vine-ripe tomatoes every day from now until sometime in October.

I want to know what type of tomatoes the little bush ones are. Dad’s asking for me to grow some indoors this winter and I’m actually considering it.
I hope a big storm doesn’t break all of the stems off
