Got the Greater Goods package for Prime Day, and wanted to try this first!

Have used SV in restaurants for many different applications, but this was a first for me overall as not using it to stage or for service / large parties / par cook and cool. Plus a home version.

It got up to temp quick, was super quiet, and held +/- .5 degree all day.

Made a Marinade of roasted garlic, cherry tomatoes, Balsamic, red wine, shallots, Basil oregano, chili flake, sealed and let sit 24 hours in fridge.

10 hours @ 130oF, used the hot Marinade as a base for pasta sauce.

Quick sear on super hot grill. Almost as tender as I wanted, but tastes pretty good!

Thank you for your picture post to r/souvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!!
