Recently picked up a smoker on marketplace and it has a gnarly bent spot on the hopper. Is there anyway to replace?
Got a decent deal $350 for a $550 new grill. Was in packaging still but had a gnarly bend on the hopper.
Pretty disappointing but I should have known better. Can this be replaced? Will it cause problems?

1. Probably? 2. No it won’t. 3. It’s a greasy, sticky, messy, smoker. Roll with it.

I would bang it out with a rubber mallet. As long as there’s not a hole it will be fine. You just saved $200 for meat

Yes shouldn’t affected at all. I would just pull out that control panel and take a rubber mallet or a small piece of 2×4 held against it and smack it with a hammer until it’s reasonably straight, put her back together and get smoking!

The control panel just pops out using clips along the bottom. From there, lay a 2×4 across it and hit it with a dead blow hammer. That should lay the metal back down flat.

get a 2×4 and a rubber mallet, place 2×4 inside the hopper up against the bent edge, smack with hammer until its roughly back in shape – rinse and repeat as much as you desire until its acceptable to you.

Yeah no biggie, push it out if it’s hitting anything.
I picked up a new BBQ Home Depot, The $299 model 5 burners and a side burner. Had a huge dent across the top and looked bad. I offered $50 as is and loaded the pre assembled BBQ into my truck. Not my best deal ever but a good one!
