Picked up two pints as they were on sale and I had a coupon for $1.50 off two…here is a review of one of them, another to come soon.
Appearance: Looks really promising upon peeling off the seal. Plenty of strawberry swirls and graham.
Texture: The cheesecake base is creamy, and the strawberry swirls and graham pieces are the expected texture. Other brands might make any of these elements more prominent, but everything is balanced well texturally.
Base: It tastes like cheesecake, and the ingredients seem consistent with those one would expect in New York cheesecake (a conclusion I am drawing from an internet search about New York cheesecake).
Mix-ins: There is a good amount of both the strawberry swirls and graham. Both taste good, but I think this flavor needs pieces of strawberry in order to really stand out. This addition would also be more faithful to the picture on the pint.
Overall experience: This pint is good, but not great. All elements are executed fairly well, but nothing stands out. Adding strawberry chunks or enhancing the graham would help this flavor to be more memorable. In the end, I thought the pint was just fine, but I wouldn’t be going for it again.
