Stainless grilling basket or a griddle plate

The Weber grill pan is awesome. Washes up easily and it has sides so when you get to over-stirring, the veggies stay in.

Make potato wedges instead and cook directly on the grates. (Your grates are upside down, btw)

    Sheet pan…cast iron pan….grill basket….literally anything else

There’s special grilling accessories to cook vegetables maybe use that. Or aluminum tin foil pans i have seen. Thin ones with holes.

Cast iron pan or a blackstone. Blackstone is nice in tandem with my Weber.

Grilling basket, griddle plate, or cast iron pan are going to be the best

They make rectangle cast iron griddle plates for just that purpose you could probably find one that fits that half of your grill almost perfectly.

Something about cooking on plastic makes me feel unsettled. I’m sure it’s likely safe but ehhhhh

  10. wait, you’re grilling on a piece of plastic ?

    what the fuck.

not being rude but ive never seen that before, nor does it sound applicable but it must be if they sell them.

Why was plastic grill mat a thing, not a chance

Just throw em on the grill (and dice em a little bit bigger)

They sell these disposable, but you can reuse them a few times for a small mesh black grill for veggies and things like that at Home Depot Lowe’s anywhere like that they sell that stuff I use them for that very thing on the grill. They’re awesome. Get a three pack for like six bucks eight bucks and you can wash them off a few times and clean them up and use them works great

I use a pizza steel. It’s just a big thick square piece of steel, so needs a little more care than cast iron. But it makes pretty fantastic pizza in a home oven.

Cast iron griddle. They sell them all over. Even Walmart has them.

There is no “alternative”, plastic would never be on my grill in the first place. I’m flabbergasted this is a thing.

Food can be applied to the grill directly, in a basket, or in a pan.

A copper grill mat would be similar to this

Literally buy a sheet of cold rolled steal and season it.

Not to insult you brother, but I really think you’d benefit from reading a basic cook book. Techniques transfer pretty well. How to cook everything by mark bitman teaches some great skills that I can see you learning effortlessly.

  20. why not just put a small roasting pan on the grill for that?

  21. nikkychalz

Cast iron griddle. You can also get a grate replacement on Amazon that will turn half the grill into a flat top.

I have a stainless tray with a grid pattern cut into it. Works grate……

This is teflon. Teflon is plastic.

    OP is not wrong.

I can’t believe anyone would ever grill on plastic of any kind. Regardless of how safe it’s claimed to be. Just seems weird af
