Iâm normally the biggest cook at home and EAT YOUR FIBER when on a deficit because you have so few calories to get all your nutrients but sometimes you just want to watch your favourite show and eat your favourite fast food đ«¶đ» I love McDonaldâs fries but honestly didnât really need them, each pickle is a lot more sour and takes longer to eat vs shoving like 5 fries in your mouth at once so I filled up pretty quickly đ
Do not recommend doing this every night though as I can notably tell a difference in how I feel in the morning if I ate healthy vs less nutritious options when eating 1200-1300

I find that if I want fast food eating it for dinner rather than any other time of day is the best since its not that filing when in a deficit. If I eat fast food food for lunch for example I’ll usually over eat because I’m hungry again in 2 hours.
Subbing the fries for your own pickles was smart.

This is what makes calorie counting sustainable for me. You can eat the things you want rather than vilifying/eliminating a whole food group.
Yeah the problem for me is that I will immediately get wild cravings for it that take like a week to go away

I used to eat McDonaldâs as a cheat meal but lately a meal is upwards to $14-15 and that seems insane to me. If I just get a sandwich and a drink itâs not much cheaper. Where I used to go a couple times a month, I havenât gone probably this whole year. But I agree, the point of counting calories is no food off limits, just limit the amount. Much easier than being told you canât have certain foods that you love.
The mcchicken is my fav !!! I like to ask for a packet of (light) mayo on the side instead of on the sandwich

I make this at home for about 250 calories! Airfry a frozen chicken breast patty (Perdue, Tyson, store brand etc), use a 50 cal low carb aunt millies bun and 7 grams light mayo with lettuce.
3 Doritos Locos tacos from Taco Bell was 510 calories, if Iâm out and donât want to cook itâs a pretty good go to for me, wouldnât recommend it regularly though
I get Dave’s single with no bun and the ketchup/mayo replaced with mustard at Wendy’s

ugh it sucks bc i count my macros too and fast food is chock full of carbs and fats đđ i crave it so often!
